All you need are pieces of paper, tape, glue sticks, hot glue or double sided tape, and these three ideas.

Absorb these 3 ideas

IDEA 1: BITS AND PIECES

You can use small fragments of paper.

You can use odd, non-wrapping materials, such as twigs, bottle caps or even colorful breakfast foods.

IDEA 2: TAKE IT EASY

Focus on the front of the package.

The back of the package is backstage; it's ok to let it be messy.

IDEA 3: CONTRAST

Contrast of color.

Contrast of light and dark.

Contrast of texture or material.

Contrast of line (angled paper on rectangular boxes).

How to: the Bottle Wrap

The Bottle

The bottle must have clear plastic labels; those labels can, with care, be removed. Pull slowly so that you leave no adhesive. Extra adhesive can be removed with label remover or rubber cement thinner.

Wash the bottle as thoroughly as you can.

Cut off the Neck

I used a jig saw to remove the neck. Take care; cutting can be dangerous.

Cut the Bottle

I used a jig saw for this too. But you could also use hand saws or matte knives too. Again, please be careful.

Do not cut all the way through. This makes a hinge and keeps the wrap stable with only a simple piece of tape for closure.

You will have to complete the clean-up of the bottle at this point. Remove any remaining residues and dry out the bottle.

Place the Gift Inside

Use tissue paper to hold it qietly in place.

Close & Seal the Bottle

A piece of tape will close the package. Now you are ready to trim out the wrap.

Add Trim to Complete the Wrap

You need at least one ribbon or band of paper to cover up the cut in the bottle. And you will need a bow, seal or object to close up the hole where the neck was removed.
